Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas, I know I did. Ava, a very pretty, lovable DAWG dog was adopted just before the holiday. Her new "Mom" wanted her in her new home for Christmas and the volunteers did everything they could to make that happen. Woof, woof to Trish and Kathy, you gals are grrrreat!!! If I can come up with a picture of Ava, you'll see what I mean. What a pretty gal. Happy New Year to all, Fluffy

Hi, been feeling pretty low lately, don't know why, I just do. Maybe it's because there are so many cats, kitties dogs and puppies with no homes they could really call their own. Winter's coming, cold cement or dirt floors to sleep on and they're the "lucky" ones. At least they are in a shelter, for now. Who knows what will happen to them next week. If you can find just a little room in your heart and warm home for an abandoned dog or cat, give it a try. Chances are you will find the love of your life, a living, breathing warm body who will give you unconditional love, who won't care how you look, or how you talk. Just give them food, water and a warm place to stay and a little patience and time for them to learn what they must do to make you happy. Thanks, Fluffy

Hi, last night I had a little trouble signing on, but today everything seems to be all right. Actually, I was trying to put up a family picture I found in the old shoebox. It brought back some old memories, some sad and some happy. Sad because I don't know where my brothers and sisters have ended up. Did they find a home as wonderful as mine or..... I don't want to think about that. Happy, because I am here blogging to you. If everybody who wanted a dog or cat adopted one from a shelter instead of buying a "cute" puppy, that will outgrow its cuteness, they would see what a great choice they made. Shelter animals have so much more going for them than you can imagine. What you see in the shelter is most likely what you will end up with. They're fully grown, they don't have puppy or kitty teeth that are sharp as needles. A lot of them are housetrained or use a litterbox. Some even have manners. One thing is for sure, they will love you for choosing them and getting them out of that shelter. But I have to say, it works both ways, you have to love them too and treat them well. Fluffy
